Double Negation
Es español, a diferencia del inglés, la doble negación es muy común y en ocasiones, obligatoria.
“El ocio es tiempo para no hacer nada.” (Leisure time is time to do nothing)
“No quiero hacer nada.” (I don’t feel like doing anything)
Passive Voice
Meaning. Study these two ways of describing the image below:

In the first case (Caso 1), the person in the picture is the subject of the sentence. That construction is called ‘active voice’ (voz activa).
In the second case (Caso 2), the subject is the object that is being eaten: the apple. It is called ‘passive voice’ (voz pasiva). It is used mainly when the focus is not on the person realizing the action but on the action itself.
Form. The verb in the passive construction has two elements: Verb SER and Participle.
